As part of my Taoist photography project, I am keeping with my cheap point & shoot Pentax Optio. I do this because the photos, at this point, are more about the act of perception (both spontaneous and willful) than about conventionally good composition. I've taken a few of my photos with a Canon EOS, which had a motor drive and a much better lens, but I came back to the Pentax for the time being. One of the things I am thinking about at the moment is the issue of timing and "capturing" a "moment." It's been a while since my last post, since I was distracted, for quite some time, by having to get over what turned out to be 8.5 years of chronic Lyme Disease. While I was too busy getting well to post photos (or even take them), I had more time to deliberate about the issue to Taoist photography.
